I did something like this: blockreference.BlockTableRecord newBlock.ObjectId; In most cases this works well. When I try to change the definition from a new block that I have created in my test DWG, it disappears from the model.I am trying to determine if a block reference of the block exist.
Currently I would iterate every block Reference in the Block Table, and then dig deep into each block ref..... I was wondering if I could just take BlockA and see if it has reference and where the references are. Perhaps this is just wishful thinking but I was hoping for a faster way to obtain the references then to iterate thousands of blocks in each table record. I want to insert blockreferences of this existing block using.Net. Autocad Lt Object Enabler Assistant Web Page How To Insert AAll shows how to insert a new block and then use the BlockID returned by the insert function. How to get it or how to create a block reference of an existing block. It needs to be almost instantaneous but the only way I know will be impractical. Looping through the property collection of each block reference, searching for each parameter then checking for a match. Is there some sort of database functionality I can use to quickly compare block information. After the block is saved, how can I see this information again If I right click on the block in the browser, I cant find it anywhere. Just another note I need to reference 72 poles and 5 colums for each of these. We often have weldments where we do an assembled view on page 1 and balloon it and have a parts list. On page 1, I bring in the Title and Subject fields from the assembly iProperties. On pages 2, I dont want to bring in those two fields, I want to bring in something different. Is it possible to differentiate like that Second part of the question: is there a way to pull the balloon item number from page 1 into a field somewhere on following pages For example: page 3 may show the details for item 2. Can I bring the value of that balloon (item 2) into page 3 somehow. For example I have a smoke detector symbol I insert, I also have a specific address associated with every single detection symbol I insert into a drawing, would I be able to attach data such as what type of detector it may be and have the address and type automatically populate in a table everytime I insert my block into a drawing. Autocad Lt Object Enabler Assistant Web Page Update The BlockMy goal is to be able to update the block table using VBA to push data from an excel file. I do have importexport code that will update block attributes, but I am not sure the functions that would access the table properties. How do I get page 2 description to be different Inventor 2014 PDS. The file name in excel is an attribute being document number in title block. All teh numeric expressions of all my dimensions have been replaced with a backslash.
